The silence of closure: when real conversations are avoided
That silence is the most insidious. It often settles in after unresolved conflicts. We avoid speaking so as not to reignite tensions, but deep down, it’s fear that takes over. We remain silent, we endure… until the day we break.
In psychological terms, this is called emotional avoidance : an unconscious way of evading one’s feelings. Yet, setting emotional boundaries is a sign of maturity. Saying, “I’m not ready to talk now, but I will later,” can defuse a lot of tension. The key is not to let silence become the norm.

Digital silence: when responding becomes an effort
Receiving a message from your partner and not having the energy to reply… it happens. But if it becomes a habit, it’s no longer a question of scheduling conflicts, it’s a warning sign.
In love, you don’t have to talk all day, but wanting to maintain the connection is essential.
