Instructions
- Preparing the dish – Lightly grease a 13 x 9 inch glass baking dish.
- Crush the bagels – Place the bagels in a zip-lock bag and crush them into small pieces, avoiding crumbs.
- Preparing the base : Crumble the bagels with melted butter until well coated. Press firmly into the prepared pan and refrigerate for 20 to 30 minutes.
- Spread the cream layer evenly over the cooled base, distributing the softened cream cheese as you go. Refrigerate for another 20 to 30 minutes.
- Scatter the strawberries over the cream cheese layer, spreading it evenly to the edges.
- Allow to cool until set – cover lightly and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or overnight for best results.
- Serve cold – cut into squares and gently lift to reveal the layers.
